Project Specific Experience Overview:
I regularly work with clients to build systems that tie together different parts of their process into visual or physical outputs via custom software or (where possible) Houdini/Blender processes. I’ve been working with Studio Swine / AA Murakami over the last year on a handful of such processes allowing input of csv/json data to drive animated pre-viz outputs and generate high-level show files for control of hardware.For a bit more context I’ve also included a couple of other client projects involving more of the 3D systems aspect of my work: Faces Of, which involved developing a pipeline for processing images into 3+1 axis toolpaths for a custom paintbrush plotter; Digitally Woven, in which I built a pipeline for moving from hand sketches of crochet + weaving inspired furniture to custom toolpaths for non-planar robotic 3D printing
Personal Practice:In addition to this I have been working with optics and computational caustics in my own practice for some time and as a result have gained a lot of experience with both designing and rendering these systems accurately. I’ve included a handful of images of both digital and physical aspects of this below the client work examples
At the end I have added some additional client renders for reference with more of a focus on the presentation of the final image rather than functional understanding
